Photography is an art form of capture. My goal is to grasp onto the emotion in the scenes around me and record them for others to see and feel. Images of lesser known destinations and the world around us not often noticed are my subjects of choice.
Growing up in smalltown Canada has given me a uniquely rural yet cultured perspective. Although it took years for me to learn to see the beauty in the world around me, artistic pursuits were a significant part of my early life -- music, drama, and the written word in particular.
In the past decade, I've gravitated toward landscapes and the natural world around me. The majestic beauty of the sky, clouds, sunsets, rivers, lakes, and the perspective, speed, and distance of roads and highways are contrasted with the brightness of spring and fall, bleakness of winter, and the sadness and happiness of animals and children.
